Davros first appeared in the 1975 episode "Genesis of the Daleks", written by Terry Nation. Nation, creator of the Dalek concept, had deliberately modelled elements of the Daleks' character on Nazi ideology, and conceived of their creator as a scientist with strong fascist tendencies. The Part 50 version is based on an episode entitled "Remembrance Of The Daleks", where he was the adversary of the 7th Doctor.
